Project Details |
The sponsor acquired an old woodchip plant and sought financing to upgrade the facility to an electric generating power plant. The sponsor had a contract with a major power company to which it would sell all power generated from the plant. There was an existing $1.4 million loan on the property. |
Opportunity |
To refinance the current loan and provide financing for renovation and working capital. |
Structure |
Bridge loan for $5 million to complete upgrades, take-out the existing lender and provide receivables financing, with a partial government guarantee arranged by SCS. |
